We;ve started talking about finding easy ways to stay in touch that are not time consuming and don't require a great deal of technical ability. Elise is out there right now, trying new tools! Thank goodness Marie understands social media.
One way to know when this blog and other websites you like to track have new content is to follow them using a news reader. It will show you all the recent posts on those sites you love one one webpage.
Newsreaders are free and once you do the initial set up, very easy to use. Yahoo and Google both have easy to use services. I use one called Netvibes (www.netvibes.com) because I like the way they set up the page so you can see a lot at one time.
Thanks to Marie here is a link to a YouTube video explaining how news readers (also called RSS Feeds) work. Even if you're not interested - check out the link because this site (CommonCraft) has great 3 minute videos explaining all kinds of things - like haven't you always wondered how CFL lightbulbs really work or how to understand Zombies.
